5 Sprays For Perfect Beach Waves

Whether you’re on a beach, and island, in a humid city (or just wish you were in any of these situations!), tousled, defined beach waves can be yours. These are 5 of our favourite beach sprays.

Say hello to my new go-to favourite for any time I want to create that beach-y, summer wave look. This beach spray from Kérastase has sugar rather than salt in it. The results? That volume, piecey, textured look minus the crunch, dryness and damage to the ends of your hair.

I've long been a fan of Jen Atkin's hairline Ouai, especially this wave spray. It provides just the right amount of texture. And added bonus, the scent of her hair products is divine. I usually spritz some of this on and forego any other fragrance.

One of the best originators of the beach wave spray is Bumble and bumble. Just enough salt in the formulation with added oils to give definition, but not enough to leave your ends dry and damaged.

Bumble and bumble Surf Infusion, bumbleandbumble.ca, $34

Tousled texture with the added benefits of argan oil being infused into the product makes this a classic for summer (or tropical) hair. I love to use it post beach or pool dip.

Moroccan Oil Dry Texture Spray, Sephora.com, $30

If you truly do want your hair to look like you just took a stroll by the sea (next to Nantucket, perhaps?), then this is the mist for you. Infused with coconut and sea salt, you get the waves without anything too crunchy.
